Butfield Family History

The reduced form of Butterfield can be observed through the comparison of historical records. For instance, Simon Butfield is noted in 1656, whereas Simon Butterfield appears later in 1721, both referenced in IGI from Leighton Buzzard, Beds.

In a similar vein, we can examine Sarah Butterfield recorded in 1740 alongside Martha Butfield in 1742, also within IGI, but this time from Ivinghoe, Bucks.
