Our Values
Our customers’ family stories have always been and will always be our priority and we work every day to empower our customers on their journeys of personal discovery.

For the past 30 years, we have been focused on family history. We have invested in building the best tools and the largest record collections. And we’re proud our members have helped us create the richest and deepest family tree network and largest, most engaged DNA customer database in the world. Through our continued investment in content and records, we are truly changing the way that family history research is conducted in the future, helping our customers to find deeper and more meaningful information and making it easier for those who are new to family history to unlock their family stories.

At Ancestry we consider diversity to be an integral part of our business and we aim to promote a supportive, inclusive, positive and collaborative culture that attracts, empowers and engages employees of all backgrounds, perspectives and experiences, and supports them in reaching their full potential.

Community giving at Ancestry is rooted in our belief in family. We provide support to organisations around the world that strengthen families in need, improve education and preserve family history. Our giving includes financial contributions, product donations and employee volunteer efforts.

Our Actions
We expect high standards from those we work with and are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

Our supply contracts require compliance with applicable laws and regulations, which includes the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have processes in place to ensure our suppliers comply with our ethical standards.

These processes include conducting visits of the sites our suppliers operate in and the appointment of an independent third party to conduct audits of our suppliers and to establish best practice principles. In light of local Covid19 restrictions and travel restrictions, physical visits to our vendors were not possible for the majority of 2020. Physical visits will resume in 2021 once it is feasible to do so. We will continue to work with our suppliers to manage these risks.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Ancestry Ireland Unlimited Company’s and Ancestry Global Holdings Limited’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2019 and is approved by the board of directors of Ancestry Ireland Unlimited Company and Ancestry Global Holdings Limited.
