Schrimsher Name Meaning
Variant of English Scrimshaw, an occupational name for a fencer or fencing-master, from Old French eskermisseo(u)r ‘fencer’, ‘skirmisher’. Fencing-masters always found plentiful employment in medieval England, although they were officially banned from the City of London because of their dangerous influence.
