One in Essex is from Old English eg ‘island’ + stan(as) ‘stone(s)’. Finally Easton Neston in Northamptonshire gets its name from Old English Eadstanestun ‘settlement of Eadstan’, a personal name composed of the elements ead ‘prosperity’, ‘riches’ + stan ‘stone’.
