Servatius Surname Meaning

German and in some cases possibly also Dutch: from the Latin personal name Servatius, a derivative of servatus ‘saved’. This was the name of a 4th-century Christian saint bishop of Tongeren in present-day Belgium.

He is the patron saint of Maastricht and one of the Ice Saints (see Pankratz).
