Natley Family History
Natley Surname Meaning
from Nately Scures and Up Nately (Hants) recorded as Nataleie in 1086 and Natelege in about 1195.
The place-name appears to derive from Old English *næt ‘wet’ + lēah ‘open woodland’.
There may well have been some confusion with Netley.
