Narita Surname Meaning

Japanese: written 成田 ‘become’ and ‘rice paddy’. Found in northeastern Japan the surname comes from a village in Shimōsa (now Chiba prefecture) which is now the location of Narita International Airport.

Some bearers descend from the northern Fujiwara others from the Seiwa Genji.
