Polish: habitational name for someone from Krzyczki in Masovian Voivodeship (named with the personal name Krzyszczek, a pet form of Krzysztofor, see Christopher) or Krzycko in Greater Poland Voivodeship.
This latter is named with Old Polish kierz, plural krze, which means ‘bush’, or with the nickname Krzyk, derived from krzyk, meaning ‘shout’.
