From Huthwaite in Whorlton (NR Yorks), which is recorded as Hogthuet in the 12th century. The place-name probably has the same etymology as the Notts place-name in (1).
From Howthwaite in Caldbeck (Cumb), which is recorded as Hothweit in 1209. The place-name has the same etymology as the Notts place-name in (1).
