Grunnill Family History

In Lincs, a metathesized variant of Gurnhill exists. Elsewhere, it appears as a variant of Greenhill, also known as Grinnell. This variant features the substitution of -u- for -i-, and occasionally includes metathesis of the -r-, resulting in forms such as Girnill and Gurnall.

Comparison of historical records reveals notable examples: Mary Grynell from 1614, Sarah Greenhill from 1651, and Robert Grunell from 1657 can be found in IGI (Cranbrook, Kent).
