Chunara Surname Meaning
from Gujarati chunara ‘lime-manufacturer’ (agentive noun from chuna ‘lime’). According to local tradition the Chunaras were originally Rajputs who migrated from Rajasthan to Gujarat and joined the army of the Gaekwar of Baroda before settling down in trade.
