Rowberry Family History
Rowberry Surname Meaning
English (Herefordshire and Worcestershire): habitational name theoretically from any of various places called with Old English rūh ‘rough’ + beorg ‘hill mound’ such as Roborough (Devon), Rowberrow (Somerset), Ruborough Hill (Somerset), and Rowborough (Isle of Wight).
In the West Midlands, the surname is almost certainly from Rowberry Court (in Bodenham, Herefordshire) and through family migration, is probably also the source of Rubery in Cornwall and Ro(w)bery in Essex.
