From what I understand Rees and Ann came to Philadelphia with 5 children. Ann died a couple years after arriving in Philadelphia. Rees then married Elizabeth Williams, Price was used as his last name at that point. Rees and Elizabeth had 5 children, only one carried the Price name, the other four carried the Priest name for some reason. I have been trying to track down a definite connection but have not at this time. However, it is believed that at least two of Rees's grandsons moved to Southwest Virginia that used the name Price. I have seen a document that list Price and Priest in the area of Russell County when it was formed from Washington County, Virginia. My relatives are from Russell County. However, when I research the names Thomas and Richard, there are several and one must be careful not to get them confused. I have confirmed that my line goes back into the Thomas and Richard Price line but have not gone any farther. My great grandfather was a Richard Price born in 1871, his father was Thomas that was married to a Helton then a Morrison. Thomas' father was Richard that married Frances Johnson. These names I have tracked through census, birth and marriage records from Russell County. However, it appears that Thomas and Richard are family names for children. I believe that Richard that married Frances Johnson may have been the son of Thomas Price that came from Pennsylvania with his brother Richard.
