Rishell Name Meaning

Perhaps an altered form of the English habitational name Rushall from either of two places so named in Norfolk and Wiltshire. In both cases the second element is halh ‘nook of land’; the first element of the place in Norfolk recorded in Domesday Book as Riuessala is uncertain; that of the Wiltshire place is believed to be an Old English personal name Rust. Altered form of German Rischel (see Rishel ).
