About this collection

This collection contains index cards to archival records from Mühldorf am Inn covering the years 1201 up to and including 1928. This city is located in a district of the same name about 31 miles south of Landshut and some 50 miles east of Munich. It is situated on a bend of the River Inn in Oberbayern, Bavaria. Mühldorf am Inn first became a city in 1239. Until 1802 it was an enclave of the Archbishopric of Salzburg. Throughout the Middle Ages it was an important commercial center. The long eventful history of this city has been preserved in extensive archive materials.

Index cards were created as reference aids to the materials. They index persons mentioned in the various archives and summarize the most important information from the original records.
