Aransas, Texas, U.S., Crew Lists, 1912-1965

This database is an index to crew lists of ships arriving at Aransas Pass and Port Aransas, Texas from 1912-1921 and 1959-1965. These crew lists record information primarily on alien crewmen, but also include information on some U.S. citizens as well as a few passengers. Most of the vessels arriving at Aransas and included here, departed from Tampico, Mexico. Information contained in this index varies according to the type of form used. The amount of information recorded about crew members varies from record to record, but generally the following information may be listed:

Additional information such as the crew member's position on the ship, where and when he joined the vessel's crew, or a physical description of him are recorded on some forms and may be ascertained by viewing the corresponding image. The microcopies of the crew lists found at NARA are arranged chronologically by arrival date of vessel.
