About Titanic Survivors, Carpathia Passenger List, 1912

On the night of 14-15 April 1912 the Titanic, the world's largest passenger steamship at the time, sank after hitting an iceberg. The closest ship, the HMS Carpathia, after hearing Titanic's distress signals rushed to its rescue. Nearly 60 miles away, the Carpathia took about four hours to reach the Titanic's last known position. When it finally arrived at about 4 'o clock in the morning the Carpathia was too late for many of Titanic's passengers. However, it brought aboard Titanic's 703 survivors after which it headed for New York City, the Titanic's original destination. This database contains an index to, with linked images of, the passenger list of the Carpathia, which arrived in New York on April 18. This passenger list provides the following details on Titanic's survivors: name, age, gender, marital status, race, nationality, birth location, occupation, last residence, arrival date, port of arrival, port of departure, and destination.
