About Germany, Passports of Jews, 1940-1941

Prior to the major deportations, the Nazi regime looked favorably on Jews who emigrated from the country. Some Jews who had been arrested were often released when they could demonstrate that they were willing to leave the country. This collection contains the names of about 500 German Jews who held passports. Some of the information included is the person's name, residence, date of birth, occupation, and nationality.
