Yum Name Meaning
Korean (Yom): there is only one Yom clan. It was originally known as the Yom family from Tanwon County (Kyonggi Province), but the name of this county was changed to P’aju County. The Yom family was very influential throughout the Koryo Kingdom until Yom Hung-bang, a powerful court official, was executed for treason by the Koryo King U (1374–87). The clan never recovered its former glory.
