Levitsky Name Meaning

Russian, Ukrainian, and Jewish (from Ukraine and Belarus): from the eastern Slavic adjective levitskij ‘Levitical’. As a Jewish name it denotes members of the hereditary caste of Levites (see Levi). As a Slavic name it is an ornamental name with Biblical associations, which was adopted mainly by students of religious high schools.
