Compare Hejduk . Croatian: status name of Hungarian origin (see Hajdu compare 1 above) for an insurgent rebel and by extension also for a highwayman bandit. Czech: variant of Hejduk a cognate of 1 above. Compare Haiduk Hayduk and Hyduk and also Hydock .
