Fukui Name Meaning
Japanese: ‘blessed well’; found mostly in western Japan and the Ryukyu Islands. There are several unrelated bearers of the name, the noble ones descending from Izumo no Omi, an ancient chief of present-day Shimane prefecture. Some others descend from the southern Fujiwara, and another group from a branch of the Minamoto.
