Fujioka Name Meaning

Japanese: ‘wisteria hill’; habitational name from a village in Shinano (now Nagano prefecture), and found mostly in western Japan and the Ryukyu Islands. The family is descended from a branch of the Fujiwara clan which took the name Ashikaga, but is not directly related to the more famous Ashikaga family, which is of Minamoto descent.
