Surnames: Hadley Martin
Does anyone have any information about William Hadley, b 1845 in Oldbury, West Midlands, UK?

I know that he was the father of Mary Jane Hadley and was deceased at the time of her marriage to Albert Martin in 1905. He is listed on her marriage certificate as having been a Furnaceman and lived in Rounds Green, Oldbury.

He may have married some called Hannah.

I'm especially interested to find out his parents and to confirm the marriage to Hannah.

I am a male Hadley in the US with a Hadley database of over 18,500 Hadley's (www.hadleygenealogy.net) and their related kin - all from the US. We are looking to prove our trans-Atlantic connection in the UK. We are looking for any male Hadley that can trace his English roots back before 1620 to be part of our DNA study. We can fund, in part, that study. If you would be willing to participate please contact me at Jags@hvc.rr.com Thanks, Jim Hadley

Hiya,

How are you? It’s been along time since our last contact.

Since then I have created a website which you may be interested in.

The development of this site was born out of me initially starting the ancestry tree.

On investigating the Hadley mainline I noticed that the sister of an ancestor had married another Hadley. On researching another line another Hadley emerged. On realising that the Hadley’s did not move out of the vicinity for over 300 years curiosity got the better.

The site is definitely in its infancy and it is anticipated that it will be ongoing as more information is collected or amended. It is hoped it will be a site for everyone connected to the names and locations. It therefore goes without saying that contributions or corrections to any theories or facts will be well received.

With your contributions it would be nice to think that you can help this website’s growth.

Please feel free to E mail me with your information on the subject no matter how large or small. I look forward to your response.
