Looking for information on Isaac Williamson born 1797. Parents unknown. Married Anna Rowland and was found in Baltimore, Md census and directory in approx. 1820's to 1850's. Children were all born in Baltimore, Md. Migrated to Philadelphia where he died in 1855. Supposedly related to Hugh Williamson of NC, Hiram Williamson who died at the Alamo and Isaiah V. Williamson, founder of trade school in Delaware County, PA. Any information would gratefully be accepted.

Hi Linda,
If the Isaiah Williamson you are looking for is Isaiah V. Williamson, I have a great deal of information on him. This one is the founder of a trade school in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and there is an entire pedigree done on Him. I have been told that we were related to him and I am trying to connect him to our family. No success as of yet. Contact me if this is the same Isaiah V. Williamson and I will get my information together for you. Helen

Isaiah V. Williamson was a quaker from Philadelphia and was the son of Mahlon Williamson and Charity VanSant. The Philadelphia Historical Society and the Williamson Trade School have a large pedigree chart. I have a great interestin the Trade School chart. Apparently, he has 7 or 8 brothers and sisters and the chart has those lines traced forward with its descendents. I have seen this chart once and as I remember all but one of these lines was traced and that was the line of Isaac Williamson. I remember it saying that he was born in 1797 which is the year my ancestor was born however that chart has been in the possession of a single individual who states that there is no Isaac. I don't know whether you have access to the Pa Historical Society however if not I have a wealth more information on Isaiah V. I just have to assimilate this information from the other Williamsons.

Hi Linda,
If you write to the Williamson Trade School on Rte. 352 in Media (?) Delaware County and ask them if they could provide you with the information on Isaiah. Also, the Philadelphia Historical Society at 13th and Locust has quite a bit of information on this line. I will also at some point put my information together. Please provide me with your mail address so I can send the information which I have to you. Helen.
