The two Fred Weideman's I have in my family, I don't believe are the same although the spelling of the last name is. One is my great grandfather, Frederick Wiedemann, who was born in Germany. His children were, Luzzett, Albert, Sarah, Ferdinan, Clara, Charles W., Louise, Nellie, William, George Lewis (my grandfather), and Ralph Edward. Most of his children were born and died in Neb., although Albert was born in Ill. My grandfather had a son, my uncle Fred Spangler Weideman who was born in Ks., and currently lives here in Ore.The spelling of the last name did change at some point. I am hoping that one of these names sounds familiar to you as I have run into a total dead end on this side of my family. Keep in touch, sue

Read your posting dated December 29, 2000 on the FamilyHistory.com web page/

I am looking for information on a William Weideman born in Germany around 1845. His parents were also born in Germany.

William married Amelia Klawitter and they were living in Wisconsin in 1880 according to the Federal Census for Lind Township, Waupaca County, Wis.

If there is a connect with the William and his father, Frederick with my William, I sure would enjoy hearing from you.

I am sorry, but I don't think we have the same William here. The William I have was born sometime between 1888 and 1894 probably in Nb. He was married to an Amanda Estel. Beyond that I have little information except birth and death dates for his siblings. I wish you luck in your search. I have been remarkably unsuccessful with mine! Sue
