I am researching the LAIDLAY family. Today have found reference to a FAITH LAIDLAY a lady golfer, sister of the
famous golfer JOHN E. LAIDLAY. The only information I have for FAITH is that in 1908 she beat the reigning Scottish Ladies Golf Champion, Dorothy Campbell, in a putting competition in aid of the North Berwick Parish Church Funds.

FAITH IS LISTED AS MISS FAITH LAIDLAY OF INVEREIL HOUSE. Does anyone know of FAITH or indeed of INVEREIL HOUSE ?
I would be grateful for any info. or pointers for further
research. Thank you.

Hello Faith,

I was just googling my history and came across your message. My father owned Invereil House in the 80s/90s. I lived there for a few years, it was a beautiful house to live in. My father sold it to the Johnston Press Family around 1993. If you need any information I would be happy to help if I can. Best wishes, jeni kurys
