Trying to find ancestors of the Melzer Family in Colorado
Charles Melzer was brother to Adolph Melzer who ran the melzer soap factory in Evansville, IN
http://www.historicevansville.com/site.php?id=melzersoap
His wife was Alma Straub and they resided in Denver, CO
I have come across a neat photo album of a family trip to Netherlands (early 1900s) but cannot determine why he went there. Any help is appreciated

I am the great grandson of Charles Melzer. I still live in Denver area and would be interested in photo album you mentioned. I have no idea why they would have traveled to the Netherlands. They did travel to Germany for soap making issues on at least one or two occasions.

I just donated it to Willard Library, but I would not see why they'd be opposed to keeping it in the family. Contact Pat Sides, their archivist at psides@willard.lib.in.us Mention my name and let me know how it goes. You can even CC me (josephengler@yahoo.com).
