Barbara Hood married Andrew Gibson about Jun 1889 in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Andrew was born abt Jun 1874 in Tweedmouth, Northumberland.

For your interest I have their census info from 1901 as follows;

I also have hood's in Newcastle, Belford, Beal, and LongBenton to name just a few. I have traced mine back to 1740's. Some of mine stretched in to Durham so we may have a connection.

Francis Hood b.13 Mar 1850 son of James Hood and Mary Davison is my mother in laws Lucy( now 92,) grandfather,he came to New Zealand in 1878.
So if you wondered why he disappeared from the census this is where he came.With help from other researches the Hood family is now back to 1690 in Kelso Roxburghshire.

Did you know that this Kelso Hood family has Mitt Romney the American Presidential hopeful (of the Mormon faith) is a decendant coming down through Isabell Hood who married Archibald Newell Hill is the daughter of James Hood 6 April 1776 and Margaret Bisland his 2nd wife, some of
James and Margarets children went to Ontario Canada and became dedicated followeres of the Mormon faith, There is a lot of information on this. AS they mostly came from the Lanarkshire areaof Scotland they boarded the ship "Prompt" in 1820 and up to Canada and established the Lanark township in Ontario. A very interesting journey.
Just thought you may be interested to know that there a rellies in Canada and USA as well from this family line
