I found a little more information regarding my great grandfather
Wilfred Haigh. he was born in Yorkshire England around
1880 to 1882 he ended up in Hamilton Ontario Canada in the early 1900s where he became a bricklayer. i believe he had only 2 sons : Nelson(Nick) and Walter ( Dude) as far as his wife , im not sure of her name. i am sure he has relatives still living in Yorkshire

Surnames: HAIGH HUNT
Census 1911:
Wilfred 29, wife Christiana 26, 3 sons: Walter 8, Wilfred 6 and Horace E. 3. All born in England except Horace who was born in Ontario.

He could be the Bertie Wilfred HAIGH who married a Christiana HUNT in 1901 in the Wortley registration district.

Correction: he is that Bertie Wilfred :-)

Birth registered 28th Aug. 1907. Bertie Wilfred HAIGH, born 31st July 1907, father: Wilfred HAIGH bricklayer, mother Christiane HAIGH nee HUNT.

He is probably the Wilfred B. HAIGH in Hemsworth in 1891 with parents Horace and Annie.

If you need the scans drop me a line.

Cheers Jane

Paul I've sent you 7 scans , tell me if you receive them please. Hope they don't clog up your mail box !?.

I think it's the family back to Daniel HAGUE and Elizabeth HEPWORTH.

Notice the alternative spelling on the older records.

Hello, my sister and I have been doing our family tree and I wondered what happened to grandad Ernest's brother Wilfred (born 1882) who emigrated to Canada. From what I have found and I could be wrong, his wife was Christiana and there were three sons, Walter, Wilfred and Horace (two named after him and a brother) Seems as though you are a cousin any number of numbers removed. There are still cousins in Yorkshire.
