To anyone in southern Illinois or western Indiana. I have followed my family tree from Clark Cty, IL records down seven generations. Unfortuanately, I am badly stumped. I am looking for the birth date (and hopefuly some parent's names) for a Peter Benjamin or Benjamin Peter Ogle. He married Polly Ann (Sharp) Sweet on December 26, 1852, and from then on I have no records of where they lived, where they died, or even who their partents are. If you can help in any way, I would really appreciate it. Please e-mail me..I'm desperate and looking at a Thanksgiving deadline!!

more Ogles

My mother's maiden name. I don't have tons of records or the Benjamin Peter you're looking for, but our bunch lived in Colorado from about 1885 on. My gt.grandpa, William, was an engineer on the Denver Rio Grande railroad (and by unfortunate coincidence, bore the exact same name of the man who murdered King Edward II of England...). I'd be happy to share with you what I know of our Ogles, some of whom I believe were from Cairo, Ill. and other places in the state.

Thank you

Ms. Ross, I would be glad for the information that you have. It may not be the ones I'm looking for, (there's an OGLE county in Illinois), but you never know. I may find the missing link! Please e-mail me at and we'll figure out a way to transfer the information. Thanks again and hope to talk to you soon!

Look in www.smokykin website. You'll find your Ogles take you back through time through the heads of state of Europe (King Henry II, Macbeth, etc.), through the Byzantine Empire (Constantine and Theodora) and back through Scotland and Asia to within 100 years of Jesus Christ. It is an unbelievable site...
