Could someone please explain to me, like i'm a 5 year old, how to read UK Records?
A name, a district, a volume # and a page #.
I looking at an ancestors Birth registered in 1902. Volume 6d Page 641. Where is the volume?? How do i see it online? Is there an original document?

It's an index reference - it refers to a birth register - the original of which is held in the district named and a copy is held by the General Register Office.

To see the data you will have to order a copy of the register entry itself. Either as a paper certificate, or for historic births/deaths you can choose a cheaper .pdf image.
