Does anyone know who Thomas's family were (parents ect)
Thomas was convicted and transported to Western Australia on the Belgravia, 04 April 1866, for 15 yrs. I can find info on the ship ect, but no info on who his family was. On the records I found it says he was an apothecary, aged 40yrs .

The prison registers of Wakefield Gaol (held at the National Archives and available via FMP) show that he was a clerk, aged 38 in 1864 and convicted of fraud. There was extensive coverage of the case in the newspapers, as it led in part to the collapse of the Leeds Banking Company. His employer, John Woodhead MARSDEN, who appears to have been the mastermind behind the fraud, was also his brother-in-law, which tidily leads us to his marriage (image attached).

You should have no problem tracing his family from now on.
