I noticed that your lines connect into Cody and McDonald(sic). Were these lines in MS during the 1800s? If so, a little history so you can see how we connect. My husband is JW Smith, son of James Wilson Smith, son of Ben F. Smith and Emma Vera Stribling. She was the dau of Thomas Robert Stribling and Alice O. Davis. Thomas was the son of Flavius Josephus Stribling and Mrs. Griffin.
Now, on the Smith side, Ben's step-mother was married once before to a Mr. Sanlin/Sandlin. Her maiden name was Mary Ann Cody, b. 1870. Don't know where she came from. But, I did notice that in the general area where the Smiths lived in Pontotoc Co during the late 1800s to early 1900s that their neighbors were the McDonalds with Thorntons nearby. Do you have any info on the Cody family?
