SJOBERG, Israel, merchant and banker; born in Sweden, Feb. 16, 1866; son of Jonas and Catharina (Bloom) Sjoberg; educated in common and high schools in Sweden. Came to America in 1888 and engaged in general store business in Roseau, 1889; established a branch store at Badger in company with a brother, 1894; added flour mill to the business, 1898; has accumulated 5000 acres of farm land since 1900. Vice president First National Bank, Roseau, since 1904; director First State Bank, Badger, since 1905. Republican. Married, June 18, 1897, to Miss Laura Miller. Address: Roseau, or Badger, Minn.
