I'm stymied. My wife's grandmother's last name is Laraby: she says (she is almost 90, and her memory comes and goes a bit) that her father's name was Fred Laraby. She was born in Rhode Island to Fred Laraby and Ida Viola Miller Dec 1914.
Ida had 4 husbands that I can find; Fred would have been the first (m. about 1913), followed by Henry Arthur Bacon (27 Jan 1919), then perhaps a Charles McCarron (not confirmed, but recalled in the family), and finally Eugene H. Beers (who she stayed with the rest of her life).
All events in Rhode Island, Fred Laraby's origin and eventual destination unknown. The only 'Fred Laraby' I have ever found lived in Michigan, and the dates sort of work for after his divorce from Ida, but no proof.
Anyone have any ideas?
