I think the henry who was in the California Census in 1930 is he wrong Henry Bartels, possibly. That one would be Henry C Bartels who married Anna Frances Rebhausen of NE ( Not sure if Lincoln) That was my dad's parents census I think. If it was before 1917 it might be San Diego all 4 children. Henry G. John E. Geil A. and Georgina Jean ( or Jean Georgina in some records) when Georgie as she was called was 7 they moved from San Diego after that it was San Francisco. Anna and her mother were both teachers, as was their youngest Georgie. There seems to be a huge number of Henry's and some are even same birth year. In my own tree its henry Christian then Christian Henry then back to Henry. I get so confused at times its crazy. Not to mention Henry's mother married like 5 times and had children by each, and so there are many half brothers to Henry Bartels. The last names are plentiful. Its not an easy search. Our Bartels came from Bremmerhaven Germany and immigrated in 1850's . The Correct Bartels Line is the Bartels from Alsace, Lorraine City of Straussburg. There are Hamburg Bartels all over Iowa and there are Schrammburg ( I think is the place) and ALL of them have Henry's in the family somewhere. Hope this info helps a little at least.
