I am looking for information on JOSEPHTE LEGACE DIT MIGNIER (17** - 1810) the daughter of Michel Legace dit Mignier and Josephte Hudon dit Beaulieu. She married Jeremie Beauchamp (1752 – 1792) on 9 Aug 1779 in St. Henri, Mascouche, L’Assomption Canada. After Jeremie dies she marries Francois Renaud on 26 Oct 1801. I have seen both marriage records and her death record. She is buried on 10 Jan 1810. Per the right-up on ancestry.com Mascouche St. Henri 1810 page 1 you can see that she was forty eight years old when she dies. That would give her a date of birth of about 1762. So I started at her brother Michel birth of 17 Dec 1761 going page by page till I reach 13 April 1763. There I see a Joseph Lagase born on that date to Michel Lagase and Marie Joseph Beaulieu. Where they put the mother’s first name in the masculine is it possible that they put the child’s name in the masculine? Ancestry.com St-Anne-de-la-Poncatiere 1715-1789 page 287. I cannot seem to find that they had a son named Joseph on any other web sites.
I do know that Legace, Lagace, Lagase, Lagasse and a few other pronounciations are the same family
Any help would be appreciated.
