A son William of the subject couple was born in 1813 at Greenock according to a parish record (also dau. Margaret 1815). I think that William left Scotland and lived in London (census 1851,61,71)returning to Scotland by 1881 and died in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland 22 Oct 1898. He was married to Elizabeth Gamble b, abt 1831 at Market Overton, Rutland England. From census data, I believe they had three children. William b 1854, John b 1857 and Robert M. b 6 May 1859. I have the birth certificate for Robert M. There was the death of a John age 13 recorded 1870 in London Middlesex (strand 1b 401)but I have only the index so it may not be the right person. From census data I think that William b. 1855 in London returned to Scotland by 1871 where a William is listed as a visitor and grocer's apprentice in the home of James B. Warden (not sure if related by marriage). This William married first a Marion Pattison who died 17 Apr 1898 and then Jessie Munro Campbell. From census data I believe there were four children of the first marriage: William b 1887 Elizabeth b 1888 John b 1889 and Joseph b 1891. The family appears in the Scotland census 1881, 1891, 1901.
