MANSFIELD, Ohio: F. Pearline Linger, 89, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
Born Floda Pearline Furby on March 20, 1921 in Copen, WV, she was the daughter of Hoy and Iva (Wilson) Furby, and moved to the Mansfield, Ohio area in 1946.
A homemaker, she was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, where she was active with Deaf Ministries, interpreting worship services using American Sign Language over 20 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregg & Barbara Linger of Lexington, Ohio; her daughter Judy Cole of Galion, Ohio; grandchildren Terry Linger of Mt. Gilead and Rachel Linger of Shelby; great grandchildren Chantell Linger, Timothy Oakes, Courtney Linger and Kurtis Linger; a great great granddaughter Ahleeyah Miller; sisters Lenore Hutchinson of Flatwoods, WV and Janice Ocheltree of Bellville, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law Rodney & Velma Furby of Fredericktown, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband French E. Linger on June 19, 1992. Also deceased are her sisters Virginia Cain, and Jean Helmick; and her brothers Junior "Allen" Furby, Denver Furby, Paul Furby, and Edward Furby.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 North Stewart Road, Mansfield. Pastor Dale Adkins will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
