Any Ellis out there with information on Zachariah ELLIS? I can find him in the 1810 census in Franklin county, just after his marriage to Linda Hannah DEHAVEN. Her nicknames include Linny, Linney, & Malinda (thus far). She is attested to as Malinda in her father Isaac DEHAVEN's will.

Their marriage bond was issued 12 Aug 1809 in Franklin county but sadly tells me nothing about his parentage. I have scanned a copy if anyone would like to see it / try to read it. They both signed with a mark, so my assumption is they could not read or write & I can't make out the name of the witness (only one).

Zachariah must have died sometime between 11 July 1860 (date of the Franklin County census) & 1 Jan 1865 when Linda's death is recorded, also in Franklin County.

I'm descended from their son Samuel (~1814-1898) who married Effie Ann MCKIM (~1817-1888) in Loudoun county, Virginia in 1837. I know there was also an Esther (~1810-1870) NEVER MARRIED, & a Zachariah (~1820-1890) who married Mary Delilah BALL (~1818-1898).

I'm looking for parents, possible other children (I have 2 showing up in the 1860 Franklin county census that I know NOTHING about: Nancy ~1812, & Henry ~1818).

Samuel, Zachariah (~1820), & Esther moved west. I have them in Belmont County, Ohio in 1850, then on to Mason county, Illinois in 1860/70/80/90.

Linda Hannah's mother was born Elizabeth Ann ELLIS (~1757-~1812). Some other names attached to her is Nancy (her apparent nickname), & JONES as a last name (her mother remarried a JONES following her father's death). I have a hunch (NO concrete evidence) that Elizabeth Ann ELLIS may somehow be related to my Zachariah ELLIS
