There has been confusion about the identity of Waldron Loveridge (aka in Dutch church records as Walrandt Lifferis) who married Charity Berry. They are the probable parents of Richard Loveridge b abt 1724.
Some have placed Waldron in the Lefferts family. Sharon Olson and I found that he was actually the son of William Loveridge (husband of Temperance Moore). Details can be found in Part 4 of The Early Sandford Family in New Jersey, Revisited, The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey, Vol. 92 (2017), p. 112. Parts 1-3 of that series include a genealogy-biography of Charity Berry's maternal ancestors.
Others have identified Waldron's wife's surname as Horton. I don't think Charity's date of death is known (though she was alive in 1719) or if Waldron had a second wife, but it appears Waldron's son Richard was named after Charity's father, Richard Berry, which suggests Charity was Richard Loveridge's mother.
