Prattsburgh, N.Y. — Ann Marie Heath Adams, 75 of Prattsburgh, NY and a former resident of Rutland, VT and Nashua, NH died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon April 17, 2011 while on vacation in Largo, FL.
She was born March 19th 1936 in Rutland, VT the daughter of Carlisle and Evelyn ( VanGuilder ) Heath.
As a child she was raised in Rutland where she attended Christ The King School and graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy with the class of 1954. Following graduation she enrolled and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, MA as a Registered Nurse with the class of 1957.
She married Lloyd A. Adams on June 7th 1958 at Christ the King Church in Rutland.
She had been employed by the Rutland Hospital, The Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MA and the Mount Hope School for Children of Nashua, NH and The Adult Day Care Center of Nashua, NH prior to her retirement in 2000.
In 2004 Mrs. Adams relocated to Prattsburgh, NY with her husband Lloyd.
She was a member of the Christ the king Church and the Catholic Daughters Association.
Survivors include her husband Lloyd A. Adams, her daughter Sandra Adams and her significant other Len Cushing of Nashua, NH, 3 grandchildren Jessica Adams, Jennifer Partridge and her husband Thomas and Michael Adams and his girlfriend Samantha Bonardi, her sister Muriel Goslee and her husband Ed of Prattsburgh, NY a sister-in-law Joan Heath, a brother-in-law Bruce Twombly, longtime friends Simone and Gerard deBlok and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Stephen Adams in 1994, a brother Thomas Heath in 2000 and a sister Phyllis Heath Twombly in 2006.
The rite of Christian Burial Mass will be held 10AM Thursday at Christ the King Church, 66 South Main Street, Rutland.
Burial will follow in the Cheney Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Aldous Funeral Home.
A memorial mass will be held 10AM May 5th 2011 at the St. Gabriel's Church in Hammond-sport, NY.
