Thank you so much for your reply and all the information that you have found. It does seem to fit with the letter that I have - but there do not appear to be any direct descendants from Pamela.
Pamela had written the letter to her Aunt over here in the UK. It was passed on to me by my 2nd Cousin. My cousin said she had found it in her Grandmother's effets. The Grandmother was an Edith Whitcombe who married Thomas Hopkins - Edith's parents name was Prosser.
It is all a little complicated.
I have found someone on Ancestry with a Public Tree - a Gary Bannan, Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand. Gary has the same Pamela Ware that you have found in his Tree.
He wouldnt have picked up my message probably, because he hasn't got the name Ware in his list of Research. He has got a lot on his Tree - over 17 thousand. If you agree I will contact him and he may be the one to pass the letter on to.
