JOHN WILLIAM WEER
John William Weer was born at Plymouth, Ill., December 24, 1855. In 1876 he married Mary Jane Beck, whom he survived by about six years. She died April 22, 1939.
They came to Klickitat county, December 24, 1886, making their home in Cleveland for 39 years, Mabton 13 years and for the last six years with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Lasley.
To this union there were born seven children of whom two are yet living, Mrs. Fred Lasley of Bickleton, and Mrs. Cy Smith of Ordinance, Oregon. There are seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He passed away at the Emerson Nursing Home at the Grandview, February 13, 1945, at the age of 89 years, one month and 20 days.
He united with the First Presbyterian church of Bickleton, February 24, 1918 by letter from Cleveland.
They were among the worthy pioneers of this large territory and are survived by a host of friends.
The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away.
