Jesse V. Headley, 81, of Taylorstown, died at 11:41 AM Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1992, in Washington Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Washington, a son of Dore O. and Nora Pearle Dentzer Headley.
Mr. Headley was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church of Washington for more than 50 years. He later attended Taylorstown Presbyterian Church.
He worked for Hazel-Atlas, Continental Can and Brockway Glass having worked at Plant No 1, Central Mold Shop and Plant No 7.
He was a professional photographer for many years.
He was active in boys baseball and played trumpet in several orchestras and bands.
On June 21, 1935, he married his first wife, Ola Freda Blayney, who died Oct. 18, 1975. His second wife, Louise Farrell, is deceased.
Surviving ate two sons, Harold Headley of Annapolis, Md. and Ted Headley, with whom he made his home in Taylorstown; two stepdaughters, Anne Frances and Joan Gehron; a stepson, Al Frances; a brother, Gerald J. Headley of Virginia; two sisters, Faye McVay and Janet Headley, both of Washington; a grandson, Brooks Headley; and a stepgrandson, Matt Piatt.
Deceased is a brother, Paul K. Headley.
Services were held Aug. 22, with the Rev. Richard D. Markle officiating. Interment was in Washington Cemetery.
