Lucious Andrew Stafford was born August 12, 1883 in Arkansas. He died April 1968 in Cordell, Washita County, Oklahoma.

A transcription for the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Washita County, Oklahoma notes the spelling of his first name as Lucius. The SSDI notes the spelling as Lucious.

There were no female burials in the Lone Star Cemetery for a Stafford.

I am trying to make the connection between Lucious Stafford and Sarah B. Metcalf.

In the 1920 census in Rainey, Washita County, Oklahoma, his wife's name is listed as Laura C. Stafford, but her age, birthplace and parents' birth places match my Sarah.

Their children noted in the 1920 census:
Lucius H. Stafford, 13
Emma (a guess) Stafford, 9
Inez Stafford, 7
Mattie C. Stafford, 4-2/12
Lola O?. Stafford, 2-6/12
Leon (a guess), Stafford, 8/12

They are living next to William H. Cunningham and his wife, Sallie Jane Wallis. William H. Cunningham was the uncle of Sarah B. Metcalf.

In the 1930 census in Rocky, Washita County, Oklahoma, Sarah B. Metcalf's father, William C. Metcalf is living in the household of Herman L. Stafford (born about 1907) and his wife, Bonnie (born about 1910).

Herman could also be the Lucius H. Stafford enumerated in the 1920 census.

William C. Metcalf is noted as "grandfather".

William C. Metcalf and his wife, Martha "Wissie" Cunningham are both buried in the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Washita County, Oklahoma.

If anyone has any knowledge of this family, would appreciate hearing from you.
