Bessie Stanfill rites March 13
Bessie B. Stanfill died Wednesday, March 10 in Bowling Green, Ky. At the age of 81
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 13 at First Baptist Church in Marquand with the Rev. Byron Hovis and Rev. Berry officiating. Burial was in Mouser Cemetery in Marquand under the direction of Homan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stanfill was born Jan. 7, 1901 in Zion to the late Christopher and Margaret Combs. She married Edward Stanfill Nov. 25, 1920. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Sterling Stanfill of Bancroft, Mich. and Gerald Stanfill of Festus; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Hartsell of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Stella Moyers of Fredericktown and Lottie Whitener, of Bismarck; a brother, Lee Combs of Marquand and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sets of twins, a set of triplets; a son, Russell Stanfill; four brothers, Henry, Troy, Gilbert and Lester; a sister, Nell and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marquand.
