Alphabetical Directory Page with Title

Commercial_Directory_with_Title.jpg

This page consists of a heading or title area on one or both of the pages of an alphabetical directory. You can tell if the image is an alphabetical directory if the individuals are listed alphabetically by surname as opposed to by street address. The heading or title MUST list a city or suburb name in large font. The heading may also list the year of the directory and/or the directory type (i.e. commercial, street, suburb, etc). More than one heading (city) may be found on an image. Below the heading will be the list of individuals who live within that city or suburb.

City

Enter the city or suburb name from the title area of the directory page. Use the provided dictionary to help you. If there is more than one city listed on an image create a new section for each city. Likewise, if the header is in the middle of a page and there is directory information from a previous city above it, key that information first, marking the city field blank; then create a new section where the new city begins. To create a new section click on the green box with the plus sign in it above the keying area. This will add a new tab where you can enter the information for the new city.

Enter the letter if no other page number is given.
