Project Instructions
This collection contains typed entries of marriage records from Scioto County, Ohio, between the years 1803 to 1860.

From these images we are keying the names of the bride and groom as well as the marriage date. The groom's name will be listed first and recorded in surname, given name format. Occasionally an alternate spelling for a name will appear in parentheses. Do not key these alternate spellings. Additional information may also be included in the marriage record, such as ages, parent's names, witnesses and residence information. Do not key any of this information.

An internal index is included in this project. Names should not be keyed from these images. If you see an image of an internal index which only includes names and page numbers, mark these images as "Index".
